Rig Your Boat With $10,000 winnerSea Tow Member Wins "Rig Your Boat With $10,000!" Sweepstakes
Brian Iannacone is the winner of Sea Tow's “Rig Your Boat With $10,000!” Sweepstakes. Iannacone is a resident of northern New Jersey and a Sea Tow member. Iannacone says he was suprised to learn he had won and that his family did not believe him.

He joined Sea Tow in July 2010 after purchasing his first boat, a 1995 Rinker cuddy cabin. He and his brother made a small investment in the vessel so their young families could explore boating. Their kids, ages 3 and 4, fell in love with the water and so Iannacone plans to upgrade by purchasing his friend's 2001 Lawson 270 Cabrio. His friend is shopping for a new boat, too. Sea Tow Membership FAQ

"Will you still go get boaters that break down in Bimini, Bahamas, Monday thru Friday, as you did before?"
Yes! Sea Tow provides Bahamas coverage. If you need a tow from a safeport in the Bahamas to the United States, contact a southeast Florida Sea Tow office (Palm Beach to Miami), or our 24-hour Customer Service Center (800-4SEATOW), to schedule a weekday tow. If you need assistance on the weekend, contact us and we will assist in getting you to a safe port in the Bahamas and then work with you to coordinate the trip back to the United States.

Service to and from the Bahamas will normally originate from and arrive at specific ports. Both vessels and all individuals must clear U.S. Customs & Immigrations, as appropriate, and the costs associated with that process is the responsibility of the member. The member must be aboard the boat during the tow and the Sea Tow Captain will determine the safest time to make the voyage.

In lieu of towing, Sea Tow may fly parts and/or personnel to the Bahamas in order to fix the boat. In rare situations, Sea Tow members can be reimbursed for the vessel to be shipped by freight back to the United States. Sea Tow will pay freight charges up to $5,000, however, the member must handle all other fees and the shipping arrangements.

If you’re traveling beyond the Bahamas, don’t fret! Your Sea Tow membership benefits include Universal Towing Coverage (excluding the Lake Card). This benefit provides reimbursement for services rendered in international and domestic waters that are not yet served by a Sea Tow franchise. If you need help in either scenario, just call 800-4SEATOW and we’ll assist in arranging for a local provider to help you. If the service provided is covered by a Sea Tow membership, we’ll reimburse your bill at rates up to $225 per hour ($5,000 maximum per incident) as long as the assistance was pre-arranged. See the Membership Agreement for complete details.

Each season, membership experts across the Sea Tow network field a host of questions from boaters who want to better understand the benefits of Sea Tow membership. If you have a question you’d like answered, e-mail it to editors@seatow.com, referencing the Sea News Membership FAQ.

Sea Tow New Orleans Visits With Fishing Legends

The 41st Annual Bassmaster Classic returned to New Orleans in February, welcoming more than 50 of the world’s best bass anglers to the bayou. Sea Tow New Orleans owner Capt. Christian Orfanello joined the celebrations at the Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo and promoted Sea Tow's Where the Fish Are Biting fishing reports with a cooler of freshly caught speckled trout and flounder. The fish caught the attention of Manabu Kurita, who shares the IGFA world record for the biggest largemouth bass ever caught and recently joined the Yamaha/Skeeter professional angler team. Capt. Orfanello also visited with fishing legends Ish Monroe, Denny Brauer and others.
